Creation Of Viral Art

Imagine the world-wide web as that really cool kid who came to school with the coolest hairstyle in the world. The slow-mo kicks in, everyone stares, and the light shines straight down as they run their fingers through their hair and flash a billion dollar smile. Yeah, so, pretty much everyone comes up to them and says, “Hey, great hair!” and proceeds to shake hands or exchange some sort of gesture that affirms the admiration. Then the next day everyone, including the principal and their newborn child, show up with the same awesome hairstyle, equipped with a can of hairspray and an oversized comb in their back pocket. Well, in a nut shell I don’t really know how it relates, but creating viral content is the same. You just confidently do what you do and all of a sudden you become that cool kid with great hair. The next thing you know the whole school is sporting the same trend. BUT it all starts with just doing what you do.

When you look at it however, there are some things to consider. Ask yourself. What hasn’t been done before? What have I just always wanted to create? I mean really get down to it. GET WEIRD. The clichés are cliché because they are like the giant Captain Obvious. Throw paint at the wall and see what sticks. It’s almost an area to view creativity from a scientific point of view. You can’t have fear of creating something great, because the fear will keep you from creating something great.

Just be the kid with the cool hair. I believe in you.

What is the definition of a viral video? Techopedia says, “A viral video is any clip of animation or film that is spread rapidly through online sharing. Viral videos can receive millions of views as they are shared on social media sites, reposted to blogs, sent in emails and so on.” The video below is time lapse, behind-the-scenes video of the one on my instagram that reached 4.5 million views, 42K likes, and 11K saves.  Sometimes it’s just that simple. The biggest aspect is a belief in your own creativity.

Another video that went viral was the one below. It was featured on Instagram’s “This Week on Instagram.” It was one of those moments when I had no idea that it would go viral and my hair would be cool. Just do, create, and don’t worry about everything else. To leave you with some humorous encouragement, I was drinking my yogi tea the other day and it said, “You will become the effervescent light that you walk in.”
